State of the Nova Nation
Before it was rebooted as an audio podcast, State of the Nova Nation began as a video show that was featured on VUBenchMob.com. It was a video series that I produced, directed, edited, and was on-air talent for. It was completely student organized, from pre-production to post, including the behind the scenes work of coordinating interviews, filming locations, and attending games to gain footage used for the show. A 20-minute episode was released each week, with 13 episodes being made in total. State of the Nova Nation ran from Fall 2015 to Spring 2016 before it was brought back as the much more successful audio podcast in October 2016.
These are a couple of interview segments that I did, followed by a full episode as an example.
The first video jumps to an interview with eventual 2016 Summer Olympics participant and 2017 National Champion, Villanova Cross Country star Patrick Tiernan. The second is an interview with former Fall Festival Director Bobby Reiff before Special Olympics. The third is one of the last episodes made in the video format.
